Led by DC historian, former GW professor, and 40+ year resident of DC, Dr. Bernard Demczuk, this tour will focus on the history and culture of U Street. Over breakfast at Ben's Chili Bowl, we'll learn about the history and culture surrounding this DC establishment, where Dr. Demczuk serves as the official historian. Then, Dr. Demczuk will lead a tour of The Black Broadway and 15 street murals. After a short visit to the African American Civil War Memorial and Museum, we'll head back to Ben's!
